During most of the year, Maggie's "regular" job is working as a school administrator for the Santo Domingo school district...but now that the school year has ended she has gone back to her true love, which is making beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
This necklace, which Maggie just completed for us, was made with 16 faceted, Brown Smokey quartz, translucent stones with Tiger's Eye beads separating the quartz stones from each other. Maggie also placed small groups of Tiger's Eye beads at both ends of the necklace. It measures 23" long and weighs a very comfortable 68 grams.
The matching earrings each have one brown quartz stone suspended from a silver ear wire. The earrings are 1+3/4" long (including the ear wires) and they weigh 8 grams (4 grams each).
With warmer weather just around the corner, many of our customers have already started shopping for "summer style" jewelry... and necklaces such as this one are already in heavy demand. The colors in this necklace will go perfectly with most lighter colored summer clothing.
Since Maggie custom made this one-of-a-kind necklace for us, you can be sure that you won't see anybody else wearing one just like it. Maggie, like most very creative artists, never exactly duplicates any of her work.
PLEASE NOTE: The coin that appears in one of the pictures is a quarter dollar.
