Here's an absolutely gorgeous, multi-stone inlay and sterling silver "Bear" pendant that was handmade by the incredibly talented Navajo artist Calvin Begay (who is of the nicest people we've ever met). This pendant is a wonderful example of exquisite, museum quality, Native American jewelry.
Calvin made this pendant by inlaying various sized pieces of orange and purple spiny oyster, black onyx, jasper and lab-created opal into a sterling silver, bear shaped, base. He separated each piece of stone and shell from each other with very intricate silver channeling.
To further enhance the pendant Calvin also inlaid shell & stone into the bale.
The pendant measures 1+3/4" long (including the bale) and is 2" wide. It weighs 26 grams, is stamped sterling and has Calvin's hallmark.
