Here's a unique, handmade, turquoise & silver double Corn Maiden ring that we purchased from the extremely talented Zuni artists Chad Quandelacy & Val Comosona.
Chad and Val are among the best known Zuni artists because of their amazing creative and artistic abilities. Chad hand shapes and hand carves the turquoise figures and Val does all of the silver and inlay work. For this ring Val inlaid tiny pieces of red coral and black jet to adorn the maidens.
What makes this ring unique is the double Corn Maiden design which features one face opposite the other. The have previously made many pieces of double and triple Corn Maiden jewelry but the others that we have seen have the heads next to each other instead of in opposition.
This size 6+3/4 ring measures 1+3/8" long and it weighs a very comfortable 5 grams.
The back of the ring was signed by Chad and Val and is also marked Zuni.
