During most of the year, Maggie's "regular" job is working as a school administrator for the Santo Domingo school district. . . but now that the school year has ended she has gone back to her true love, which is making unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
This is a classic necklace & earring set that Maggie made with 3 strands of beautifully matched turquoise nuggets with occasional sets of two orange spiny oyster rondelles on each strand. Between each nugget or rondelle, there is a tiny piece of pinshell heishi, and at each of the strands ends there is 2 inches of pinshell heishi before the strands are joined in the silver cone that ends at the hook & eye.
The necklace measures 19 inches long and it weighs a very comfortable 70.5 grams. The earrings are 2 and 3/8 inches long (including the ear wires) and weigh 4.6 grams (2.3 grams each).
With warmer weather just around the corner, many of our customers have already started shopping for "summer style" jewelry... and colorful necklaces such as this one are already in heavy demand. The colors in this necklace will go perfectly with most lighter colored summer clothing.
