Here's a wonderful fetish and stone treasure necklace that we recently obtained at a pawn shop while traveling thru Arizona and New Mexico.
This two strand necklace contains beads made of turquoise, spiny oyster, charoite, onyx, malachite, serpentine, lapis, cedar tree seeds and a few we're not sure of. It's maker added 15 fetish figures that represent various animals. Each piece is separated from the others with handmade heishi beads and there are additional heishi beads at both ends of the necklace.
Due to state law the pawn shop was unable to provide us with the name of the artist. They did say it came from the Santo Domingo Pueblo and that it had recently been restrung.
The necklace measures 31" long and weighs 62 grams.
