Here's a magnificent, REVERSIBLE, SQUASH BLOSSOM style necklace by the very well respected Santo Domingo Pueblo artist, and our friend, Ronnie Aguilar.
Please look at the pictures displayed below to see the beauty and quality of this incredible, and unusual, example of genuine Native American art.
Crafted as a contemporary version of the traditional squash blossom, the necklace features a single row of 77 green turquoise beads and seven "blossoms". One side of the "blossoms" are made of beautifully inlaid pieces of turquoise, gaspiete, black jet, agate, king's eye, abalone, pipestone and mother-of-pearl. The back of the blossoms are made of large slabs of black jet. Each blossom is surrounded by a sterling silver band. To further enhance the quality of the necklace Ronnie strung the necklace on "memory" wire that keeps the necklace in a constant round shape.
The necklace measures 20" long (including the clasp) and it weighed in at 126 grams on our postage scale. We also include a 5" silver extender chain in case you prefer a longer necklace. The seven "blossoms" are each approximately 1+1/4" long and 1" wide.
This beautiful, and very unusual, necklace will certainly make a terrific addition to your jewelry collection, or a great gift for that special friend or relative.
