Here's a remarkable, handmade, necklace & pendant set that we obtained from a well respected pawn trader in Northern Arizona, adjacent to the Navajo reservation.
We've bought and sold many pieces of vintage jewelry over the years and this necklace is certainly one of the most unusual that we've ever had. Please look at the pictures displayed below to see it's unique beauty and quality.
The necklace measures 29+1/2" long. It contains 90 round, handmade, benchbeads (45 on each side) and six very unusual handmade barrel beads that are adorned with applied silver curls. The barrel beads each have a small turquoise stone (set in a saw tooth bezel) and they each measures 1+1/8" long & about 1/2" in diameter.
The set weighed in at 78 grams (2.8 ounces). As with much vintage jewelry there is no artists's hallmark nor any indication of the silver content. The beads were "strung" on two lengths of wire for additional strength.
