Here's another great piece that we discovered in one of our favorite pawn shops in central New Mexico.
This is a handmade sterling silver ring that would make a terrific addition to anyone's jewelry collection.
This size 9+1/2 ring weighs 12 grams and it measures 1/2" wide.
What's a bit unusual about this ring is that the artist decorated it on the outside, and on the inside, with different types of hand stampings.
He, or she, also made the ring from heavy gauge (thick) silver.
Unfortunately the stamp work on the inside covered the artist's hallmark so we don't know who the artist is. However, the pawn broker told us that the ring was made by a local Navajo silversmith, so we know that it truly is Native American made.
We don't know the age of the ring but it could easily pass as brand new. There are no dents, dings or scratches and the silver shows
very minimal wear.
This very attractive ring will certainly make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection, or a great gift for that special someone in your life.
Please excuse the dark areas that appear on the ring in some of the pictures. They are simply reflections of our camera, on the highly polished silver, and they do not exist on the ring.
Some pictures are enlarged to show details.
The coin in one of the pictures is a quarter.
