Here's a dead pawn, turquoise & silver ring that we purchased from a well respected pawn trader in northern Arizona, adjacent to the Navajo Reservation.
This stunning ring features a beautiful, bright blue, highly polished turquoise stone (with a contoured surface) that is set in a silver saw tooth bezel and is surrounded by a silver twisted rope. The stone is mounted on a plain silver band with a few hand stamped designs on either side of the stone.
The size 10+1/2 ring weighed in at a very comfortable 15 grams and it measures 7/8" long.
It features a highly polished, oval shaped, turquoise stone (with brown matrix) with applied silver fans on either side of the stone.
Due to State laws that regulate the amount of information that pawn traders are allowed to give out we were unable to obtain the name of the artist. However we were told that it was made by a local Navajo artist.
Despite it's age and travels it is in very good condition. It can use a bit of cleaning but we'll leave that for it's next owner. Our policy is that we do not clean dead pawn, vintage, or estate jewelry as most of our customers want to receive these older pieces "as is".
