Here's a fantastic, dead pawn, Native American made sterling silver bracelet that we recently obtained from a pawn shop in Kingman, Arizona.
This bracelet, crafted in the shadow box style, depicts a steer wrestling event at a rodeo. It shows a cowboy leaping from his horse and grabbing onto the neck of a steer in order to wrestle it to the ground. The cowboy, his horse and the steer are 12k or 14k gold fill..we have no way of determining that as we don't have a test kit.
The bracelet is otherwise covered with wonderful hand stamped designs. Please see the pictures displayed below.
The bracelet measures 5-1/8" on the inside, has a gap of 1-1/2" and is 1-3/8" wide at the front. It is totally inflexible, so if you are bidding on this bracelet be sure to carefully measure your wrist first.
The inside of the bracelet is stamped sterling and has it's maker's hallmark, A. Payton. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with the artist's background. Although we do not know the age of this bracelet it appears to be quite old. There are signs of wear but it is still in very good condition. I has a deep patina... We'll leave the cleaning to it's next owner as our policy is that we do not clean dead pawn or vintage jewelry.
