Here's a pair of jasper and serpentine dangle style earrings that were handmade by talented Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Maggie Garcia.
Maggie is well known for making beautiful but affordable jewelry and these earrings are a good example of just that.
Maggie made these earrings with four, dark green, serpentine beads on the top and perfectly matched jasper stones on the bottom. The combination of the colors is simply beautiful.
The earrings measure 2+1/4" long (including the fish hook style ear wires) and they weigh 10 grams (5 grams each). dropped.
Most Santo Domingo artists are known for making traditional style jewelry but Maggie's art is usually much more contemporary and colorful. These earrings show Maggie's "eye" for choosing unusual color combinations and making them work very well together.
