We visit this trader twice each year (even though it's an 800 mile trip) because of his incredible knowledge of vintage Native American jewelry, his unquestioned honesty, and the great selection of vintage pieces he always has for sale.

This is one of those situations where the pictures will describe the item better than any words we may write, so please see the pictures displayed above and we'll give you some of the details below.

The inside measures 5+1/2" long plus there's a gap of 7/8". It's 1+3/4" wide at the front and it weighs a significant 103 grams.

As with most, vintage, Native American made jewelry there is no artist's hallmark nor any stamp indicating the purity of the silver.

State laws regulate what information pawn traders are allowed to give out however we were told that this piece was made by a local Navajo artist during the late 1960's.

Due to the thickness of the silver, and all of the applications, we strongly suggest that any size adjustment should be made by a professional jeweler, or silversmith, to prevent causing any damage.

The watch face is very likely the original because it's a wind-up type watch. If you prefer a battery operated (quartz) watch any jeweler can install one for you at a minimal cost.

Over the years we've bought and sold many watch/bracelets but this piece is the most attractive, and most well made, of any that we've ever had.

Despite it's age this wonderful old beauty is still in remarkably good condition. It can use some cleaning, and polishing, but we'll leave that for it's next owner to do. Our policy is that we never clean vintage jewelry as most collectors prefer to receive these older items "as is".
