Here's an old, dead pawn, turquoise, coral and sterling silver, expansion band watch that we purchased from a well respected pawn trader in northern Arizona.
The main feature of this wonderful old watch are it watch tips. Each of the hand stamped tips is decorated with a turquoise stone, a piece of red coral and stunning silver applications.
The back of one of the watch tips is stamped sterling and has the artist's initials R H.
The second feature is the turquoise watch face. This watch face is not old. It is brand new and was installed by the pawn trader because the original was not working. We were told the face was made with real turquoise.
Attached to the back of the tips is the expansion band which should fit any wrist between 6+1/4" and 7". If the band is too small for you, or if you simply don't like it, it can easily be replaced by any jeweler with any type of band you wish. It is generally not expensive to replace a watch band.
The watch weighed in at a quite comfortable 40 grams.
The watch tips can use some cleaning but we'll leave that for their next owner. Our policy is that we don't clean old, or dead pawn jewelry as most collectors prefer to receive these pieces "as is".
Some pictures are enlarged to show detail.
The coin in one of the pictures is a quarter.
