Here's another amazingly beautiful, Petroglyph style, "Grandmother" pendant that Alex Sanchez recently made for us. Alex makes these pendants as a tribute to his grandmother who raised him as a child.
At the top of the pendant (symbolizing Grandma's head) is a very large, triangular shaped, green turquoise stone (with a hint of tan matrix) that Alex set in a wide silver bezel.
Below the stone is a triangular shaped pendant (Grandma's body) that Alex adorned in his unique petroglyph style. He applied a silver necklace (with a naja) around her neck and added several applied symbols each of which has significance in Navajo lore.
The pendant measures 2+3/4" in length and is 1+7/8" wide. It weighs a substantial 44 grams.
The back of the pendant is decorated with hand stamped designs and symbols. It is stamped sterling and has Alex's hallmark.
