Here's a turquoise and silver expansion band watch that we purchased at an estate sale in central New Mexico.
The feature of this watch is certainly the watch tips, each of which the artist adorned with four turquoise stones, silver raindrop beads and very nice hand stamped designs.
The tips each measure 1+1/4" long and they vary in width from 7/8" to 1/2". The back of the tips are stamped sterling and have the artist's hallmark (J).
The total weight of the watch is a very comfortable 29 grams.
With this band the watch will comfortably fit a wrist that measures between 6+1/4" and 7+1/4". If you need a larger or smaller band any jeweler can easily change it for you with any type of band you may want.
The quartz watch face, which is not the original, is decorated with the picture of a warrior's head and headdress.
Although we couldn't obtain the artist's name the seller told us that the watch was made by a local Navajo artist.
The beautiful watch will certainly make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection, or a terrific gift for that special someone.
Some pictures are enlarged to show details.
The coin in one of the pictures is a quarter.
