This is a vintage, dead pawn, turquoise & silver, handmade bracelet made during the mid 1900s for the tourist trade in the southwest that would make a terrific addition to anyone's jewelry collection.
The bracelet features 9 carved turquoise nuggets set in high plain silver bezels that were hand made and fitted to each stone. The bezels are separated from each other with silver raindrop beads on each side.
The shank is decorated with traditional, hand stamped, designs.
The inside of the bracelet measures 5+5/8" long, plus there's a gap of 1". It weighs 17.5 grams and is 1/4" wide.
As with most, vintage, Native American jewelry there is no artist's hallmark nor any indication of the silver purity.
Despite it's age and travels this wonderful old beauty is still in very good condition. The stones are not cracked nor chipped and the silver shows only minimal signs of wear.
It can use some cleaning and polishing but we'll leave that for it's next owner. Our policy is that we do not clean dead pawn or vintage jewelry because most collectors prefer to receive these older pieces "as is".
