We were very fortunate to recently purchase a personal collection of vintage, Native American jewelry and this stunning ring was part of that wonderful collection.
As the pictures displayed below will show you, this old beauty (made during the 1930's) features one turquoise stone and one piece of red coral that are both set in handmade silver bezels. The artist also added one silver raindrop bead to further balance the ring's appearance.
Despite it's age and travels the ring is still in very good condition. The turquoise and coral are set firmly in their bezels and are not cracked or chipped. The silver band shows signs of wear, but this is certainly not unusual for a ring this old. Apparently somebody really enjoyed wearing this ring, and did so for a long time.
This size 10+1/2 ring weighed in at a very comfortable 10.3 grams and it measures 3/4" long. As with most older Native American made jewelry, there is no artist's hallmark nor any stamp indicating the silver content. It can certainly use a bit of cleaning but we'll leave that for it's next owner. Our policy is that we do not clean vintage or dead pawn jewelry as most collectors prefer to receive these older pieces "as is". Also, we do not test for sterling as the chemicals in the testing kit tend to stain the silver.
