Here's a pair of stacked, turquoise & white clam shell earrings that were handmade by the multi-talented Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Maggie Garcia.
These earrings measure 2+1/2" long (including the ear wires) and they weigh a very comfortable 8.4 grams (4.2 grams each).
Maggie made these earrings with round turquoise beads that she separated from each other with single white clam shell beads. She also added a few clam shell beads at the top of each earring.
We are the only sellers on the internet that sell Maggie's earrings, bracelets and necklaces and we're very proud to be able to represent her. Over the past several years she has become a very close friend of ours and she is certainly one of the nicest, and most generous, people that we have ever met.
After many years of working for the local school system, and making her jewelry as a hobby, Maggie recently retired and now spends most of her time making traditional Santo Domingo style jewelry. Also, because of her wide variety of talents, she now makes some of her jewelry in several more contemporary styles.
Maggie is well known for making beautiful but affordable jewelry, and these earrings are a perfect example of just that.
