Here's a dead pawn, vintage, carinated, sterling silver bracelet that we purchased from a highly respected pawn trader in northern Arizona.
The inside of the bracelet measures 5+1/8" long, plus there's a gap of 1". It weighed in at 23 grams.
Due to the thickness of the silver, and the bracelet's carinated shape, the size cannot be adjusted (unless it's done by a qualified silversmith or jeweler).
The inside is stamped sterling and Tahe, meaning it was made by a member of the well known Tahe family of Navajo silversmiths.
Although State laws regulate what information pawn traders can give out we were told that (based on the artist's hallmark) this bracelet was most likely made during the 1970's.
Despite it's age and travels this wonderful old beauty is still in quite good condition. There is no damage but it shows wear that's appropriate for it's age.
It can use a bit of polishing but we'll leave that for it's next owner to do. Our policy is that we don't clean vintage jewelry as most collectors prefer to receive these older pieces "as is".
