Here's a handmade, dead pawn, sterling silver bracelet that we purchased from a well respected pawn trader in western New Mexico.
The inside measures 5+3/4" long, plus there's a gap of 1+1/4". It weighs 16 grams and is 3/8" wide. It has some flexibility so a small, careful, size adjustment can be made.
The back of the bracelet is stamped sterling and has the artist's hallmark (E). Since there are several artists who use the letter E as their hallmark we're not sure which artist made it, but it was most likely made by a Navajo silversmith.
Despite it's age and travels this wonderful old beauty is still in quite good condition. It can use a bit of polishing but we'll leave that for it's next owner to do. Our policy is that we never clean dead pawn jewelry as most collectors prefer to receive these pieces "as is".
