This is a sterling silver and turquoise bracelet that was handmade by the wonderfully talented Navajo silversmith Lexcey Billie.
As the pictures displayed above will show you Lexcey made the bracelet's shank with three silver bands. The two outer bands were made in a twisted rope design and the center band is highly polished smooth silver. This is the first bracelet that we've seen with this type of shank.
At the center of the shank Lexcey placed a small, natural, bright blue turquoise stone that she set in a smooth silver bezel. She further adorned the bracelet by placing a few silver raindrop beads on both sides of the stone.
The stone is not chipped nor cracked but it does have a natural inclusion that was placed there by the ultimate artist, Mother Nature. The largest picture most accurately shows the true color of the turquoise stone.
The inside of the bracelet measures 5+1/4" plus there is a gap of 1".
It weighs a very comfortable 17.5 grams and it's 1/4" wide.
One end of the shank is stamped .925 (sterling) and has Lexcey's hallmark (L.B.)
This "simple but elegant" bracelet will make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection, or a great gift.
