Here's a terrific, handmade, sterling silver "eagle' ring that we purchased from a well known pawn trader in northern Arizona.
This size 5 ring features a traditional, Native American, "eagle" design that was applied to a darkened, matte surface. The artist further adorned the ring with applied silver arrows on either side of the eagle.
It weighed in at 4 grams on our postage scale and measures slightly more 1/2" wide.
Due to State laws that regulate what information pawn traders are allowed to give out we were unable to obtain the name of the artist that made this ring. However, we were told that it was made by a local Navajo artist, probably during the 1960's - 1970's.
The back of the ring is stamped sterling and appears to have an artist's hallmark in front of the sterling stamp. However we've been unable to decipher the name.
Despite it's age and travels this old ring is still in good condition. it does show some signs of wear but the original beauty of the ring is obviously still there.
