Here is another gorgeous creation from Navajo/Zuni silversmith Alex Sanchez. This grandmother pendant (a design of jewelry that is named for Alex's grandmother, who was very influential in his life) was created in Alex's signature petroglyph style, featuring traditional tribal symbols in silver, applied to a textured matte silver base. This grandmother has a head of bright blue Kingman turquoise. She wears her usual squash blossom necklace and she is adorned with a silver dragonfly, a bear, a Hopi healing hand, an arrow, and lots of Alex's other applied silver designs. The bale is hidden on the back of the pendant.

This grandmother measures 3 1/8 of an inch long and 1 1/8 of an inch wide at her widest point. Grandmother's back is decorated in Alex's usual "back-side" hand stamping, and is stamped sterling and signed Alex Sanchez. Have a look...
